My name is Tom and I am fairly new to programming. I started around 5 years ago, with a language called "RPGCode" which was similar to Basic. I spent a lot of time learning VB6 in the next few years, concentrating on Winsock trying to create a small online game. Whilst this took up a lot of my time, it was a very valuable learning experience for me.

Since then I started to learn Java, which then helped me learn C++. I worked on a small winsock wrapper in C++ to recreate the small MORPG I had started making years ago, and the new version of the game was a lot more stable and had a few regular players :)

I abandoned that project a few months back due to the huge amounts of time investment needed to develop it, and the little prospects it held in terms of monetary return. The gaming style we had used was very similar to old Ultima gameplay and graphics, which EA are very strict about copyrighting issues.

Currently I am starting up a new company called Valorware, which will provide programming services to small 2D games, specializing in RPG and Action genres. We are trying to get up some example projects ready to advertise to potential customers :)

I have known Andy of f1-software for quite a few years now, and he has helped me with programming issues ever since I can remember :D
