Jelly-Othelly V1.2 Released

Hi,

Version 1.2 of Jelly-Othelly has been released for the Windows platform. This release includes a number of internal changes to the way that the game plays. If you experience any problems with playing the game, please let us know directly, or post to our support forums. At least one more update is planned before the weekend (just minor changes, nothing that affects the gameplay) and once both the PC & Mac versions check out to be OK, then the work will begin on version 1.3 of the game.

The Mac version of 1.2 will be released hopefully by the weekend. There are a significant number of changes to the Mac version. Firstly, the game is now a Universal Binary and will run on both PowerPC and Intel based Macs. We upgraded some of our gear here so we can now create these new executables. The universal binary is much faster on more modern macs running the better CPU's as it no longer has to emulate the old OS9-style setup. To keep support for those who still use OS9 and below, we still plan to keep a version going for you guys in Codewarrior so you can still play without a problem. Please test these on your macs and report any problems to us so we can fix them. For techno buffs who are listening, the OSX version of the game is compiled on OS1.4 using XCode 2.5.

The next big release of the game will see the introduction of the PocketPC version, along with several other major gameplay changes and improved help and instructions. Thank-you.
