In what is surely going to be one hell of an interesting battle to watch, PsyStar began selling a new computer this past Moday which they initially dubbed the 'OpenMac' computer. The kicker? For just $399, you get a PC that's fully capable of running the Apple Leopard operating system for a fraction of the cost of buying an Apple Mac computer.

It seems that a lot of company's these days are nothing but sue-happy. See something that they like, sue someone over it for no apparent reason. Think you have a patent for something similar to something someone else is making billions of dollars from, ah what the hell, sue them and see what kind of pay off you can get from them! One of the more recent suing events has caught my eye, and involves the video games Rock Band Hero / Guitar Hero being sued by Gibson.

Hmm, I have been trying to keep up with the gossip floating around the net concerning the firing of Jeff Gerstmann from GameSpot.com after a not-so-high rating was given to the 'Kane & Lynch: Dead Men' video game from Eidos Interactive.

In short, the guy gave the game an average rating, and was fired very shortly after. Gamespot isn't officially commenting on the situation to say whether that was the real reason for the termination, and Jeff himself is not allowed to comment i'm sure for legal reasons, IE, he'll get the shite sued out of him if he spills the truth.

I have been using the Pidgin program that came with the PortableApps installation of my keydrive, and was sad to see that the program hasn't been updated in a while. When I am at work, I usually have MSN messenger running in the background so I can be reached in case of emergency. With the old version of Pidgin, I wasn't able to send or receive messages.

I have been looking into a few different ways lately to develop my games to work on portable devices, mainly USB sticks, so that my games can be taken on the go. Ther reason I got hooked on this was that a few months ago I purchased a new 4Gb Cruzer Micro made by SanDisk. Was on sale for 20 bucks, so couldn't really turn it down! My last one had been put through the washer by my wife ;)

Well, I think I am finally done with MySpace. It's bad enough that 90% of the time the site is never working 100% of the time. It's quite annoying to receive nothing but friend requests and messages from drug companies and porn sites, but I tolerate with it because of the usefulness of communicating with others on the site, but this week has been the last straw.
