The Support Team At MySpace.com are IDIOTS!

Well, I think I am finally done with MySpace. It's bad enough that 90% of the time the site is never working 100% of the time. It's quite annoying to receive nothing but friend requests and messages from drug companies and porn sites, but I tolerate with it because of the usefulness of communicating with others on the site, but this week has been the last straw.

I logged into the site over the weekend to check things out as I do, and noticed that one of the groups I had created had suddenly disapeared. I started a group named 'Game Developers Lair' a couple of years back, and it was a regular hangout for people in the game development industry to post tips, ideas, and discuss game development in general. With over 1,500 members in the group, it was quite a popular group.

Anyways, back to my complaint =) The group was gone! I checked the directory, not there. I checked my diect URL, and it tells me it's not a valid group. I was a little miffed, especially as I hadn't done anything. So, like any obedient monkey I email their support team. What a bunch of dumbasses.

I get a response the next day telling me that 'I should correct all the code i my profile, and remove any tags that violate their policies. I can do that for you, but it will remove ALL the code in your profile ... ". Firstly, I had to double check my email message to them, explaingint that my GROUP was DELETED, NOT that my PROFILE couldn't view the group. Apparently the link I gave them must have worked! Shortly after that, I get a 2nd email from their support group with a FAQ on how to add a friend to my profile.

I consider myself a pretty patient guy, so after drinking a beer and waiting for the urge to reply with 'can't you f*&%*#g read? k thnx bye' to subside. I then composed a second email, again explaining that the group wasn't found, that I did as he asked, purging all the profile formatting code, and that my group still didn't magically appear back. I also re-pasted the link, pasted the error codes, and once again reminded them that I had not done anything to the group.

A couple more hours pass, and I get a reply back from their support team. I read the message, then had to re-read it and once again check my message to them to make sure I typed it correctly. The support team told me:

'Once a moderator of a group has been changed, you must contact the current moderator of the group in order to change it.'

They failed to acknowledge that the group WAS MISSING, presumed deleted. They also failed to acknowledge that I couldn't access the group, nor could I even possibly contact the admin (which if there was a new admin, it meant that the group had been STOLEN). What a complete bunch of douche bags! I also got a 2nd email with a completely irrelevant step by step guide.

So, with that, I am tired of dealing with MySpace and their monkeys who don't apparently read emails (or even know HOW to read) before replying to them (just like most good support company's). So, with that said, F-off MySpace, I hope that FaceBook comes along and completely destroy's you!

Remember, if your MySpace page is hacked to also display spyware & other viruses (like the musicians pages, including Alicia Keyes) then don't even bother talking to support - You might just get a message back on how to set up a fucking zwinky avatar!
